Do you offer local class 3 transfers?
Yes we offer transfers if you are local to the State of Utah. We are in Kaysville, UT 84037. Please purchase the local transfer option ahead of time.
If you are planning to use a trust (which we recommend), you will need a shrunken PDF copy ready to upload to ATF eForms. If you have other Trustees currently on you trust, we recommend you remove them from the trust before transfer and re-add them after. If you do not remove them, they will need to be fingerprinted & have a passport photo. This complicates the process and adds $50 per additional person to the transfer cost.
What is the process for buying a suppressor?
1. Simply find the suppressor you want that we sell, enter your Class 3 Dealers information, add to cart and checkout like any other purchase.
2. After purchase we will reach out to your dealer to get a copy of their FFL & SOT.
3. We will then file the Form 3 aka the Dealer to Dealer transfer paperwork required by the ATF within 24 hours of purchase. It typically takes between 2-4 business days to get approved. You will receive an email with the status "PROCESSING" once the Form 3 is submitted.
4. Upon Form 3 approval, we will ship your suppressor to your local dealer. You will receive an email with tracking. We recommend you wait for your dealer to reach out to you to have you come in and start the Form 4 transfer process. Give them a little bit of time to get it entered into their books. They will appreciate the patience in these exciting times.
If I purchase a factory sbr, will I have to engrave my info?
One of the benefits of purchasing a factory SBR from us is you will be able to adopt the factory markings as the SBR info. YOU WILL NOT need to engrave your information since it will already be on the SBR registry. No more ugly laser engraving with a finish that doesn't match the original
Do you recommend a trust?
We recommend a TRUST from 2026 forward because the approval times are just as fast as filing as an individual. A trust gives you more control over your NFA items in the event you pass away. A trust allows you to designate a beneficiary who will inherit your NFA items without having to file any paperwork. A trust also allows you to add a "Trustee" who is someone you designate as trustworthy to be able to posses your NFA items. If you have a home defense setup with a suppressor attached, adding your Spouse as a trustee will allow her to use the suppressor to defend her life without any Federal Legal Implications. (This is not legal advice.)
What trust do you recommend?
We personally recommend using Gun Trust Guru for a variety of reasons:
1. You can call the number and actually talk to a real person if you have a question. They are very helpful and will answer any question you have.
2. Gun Trust Guru gives you the option to setup the trust and control when Notarization is needed. We personally set ours up to need Sign, Witness and Notarize only when the Trust is formed. All actions such as adding or removing trustees or naming a beneficiary only require a signature and no notarization. You don't need notarization because the signature forming the trust is already notarized giving validity to future signatures aka you have a verified signature to compare against.
3. Many other trusts on the market required you to Sign, Witness and Notarize every action of the trust. Want to add a trustee? You must now sign, witness and notarize. The same is true for removing. This becomes costly and time consuming, so much so I ate the cost of another competitors trust.
IF YOU PURCHASE FROM GUN TRUST GURU, DURING CHECKOUT MENTION GLUTEN FREE GEAR SENT YOU.
